More Cards – Brown Zentangle Inspired

I’ve really gotten into hand drawing cards, since getting a good deal on blank cards a while back.  I pride myself in making 100% original, one of a kind, hand drawn cards, all Zentangle inspired, for all occasions.  My hand drawn cards are $4.00 each or 3/$10.00, and are the perfect addition to a gift for someone special, or as a stand alone sentiment to someone in your life.

Here are the brown cards:

dubby by design

I’m so excited, and just had to share.  Next week myself and my husband are going to be registering dubby by design as a partnership, and I’m going to continue moving forward with my plans to sell my hand drawn works of art and other arts and crafts I make.  I’ve made a few sales, and am hoping that word will spread and I’ll make some more.  I’m still busy working on bringing my stock levels up to prep for the craft fairs I will be signing up for.  Will write more when dubby by design is officially registered!

Cards and prints

Am I ever excited about my new venture.  While at Michaels, picking up some Final Fixative, a spray finish for pastel, charcoal, and pencil drawings, to prevent them from smudging, I came across a real bargain on blank cards of different colours and patterns, on sale.  There is 80 to a box, so I bought two boxes, different colour palettes, and brought them home.  I’ve wanted to create Zentangle Inspired Art, and turn them into greeting cards, since I started to tangle, and this was the perfect way to get started.  I will also be turning some of my Zentangle Inspired Art from my 8.5″ x 11″ sketchbook into cards too.  I went to Staples, and got them to shrink down one of my pieces, to 1/4 size of an 8.5″ x 11″, and had them put the image twice on the right side of the page, so that when printed out, all I have to do is cut the page in half, and I’ve got two cards.

So far I’ve made four cards, and as luck would have it, my good friend Trish, bought two of them off of me for friends’ birthdays that are coming up.  The one I used a simple stamp that said Happy Birthday, for a male friend of hers, on a blue and white card, and the other, a hummingbird Zentangle Inspired Art ink drawing on a pink card.  The other two cards, both ink drawn on pink cards, were of Zentangle Inspired Art flower arrangements.  I’m really excited to draw more cards, and add them to the growing list of crafts I will be selling later in the year at a craft fair on a date yet to be determined.  Like I said in my last post, my goal is to sign up for a craft fair in the fall, and Christmas, but, if I can get my act together, and get enough things made, I might be able to find one to sign up for in the summer, and get a jump start on things.  The more I make things, the less anxious I feel about doing a craft fair, and the more excited I get about it.  In the mean time though, I’m going to continue posting my drawings, prints and cards on Facebook, and hopefully sell a few things on a word of mouth basis until then.  My Zentangle Inspired and stamped cards are $4.00 each or 3 for $10 and my sketches turned into cards by way of a limited number of prints are $5.00 or 3 for $12.  Prints of my sketches and drawings are $50 or 3 for $75.  Also, if you see anything other than what’s listed for sale that you like on my website, and would like to commission me to duplicate it, or convince me to sell it to you, please contact me at  I will always do my best to accommodate you.
